In Sri Vaishnava Samrudhaayam, Divyadesams are known as the sacred Vishnu temples which are sang by the Alwars in the Poems of Naalayira Divyaprapandham. Sri Ramanujar points out the main temples among divyadesams are Srirangam, Kanchipuram, Thirupathi, Ahobilam, Simhasalam, Sri Koormam, Puri, Badrinaath, Naimisaranyam, Dwaraka, Allahabad, Mathura, Ayodhya, Gaya, Pushkaram and Mukthinaath.
There are 108 divyadesams which includes:
i) CholaNaadu divyadesams - 40 temples
ii) PandyaNaadu divyadesams - 18 temples
iii) Nadu Naadu Divyadesams - 2 temples
iv) MalaiNaadu divyadesams - 13 temples
v) Thondai Naadu Divyadesams - 22 temples
vi) VadaNaadu Divyadesams - 12 temples
vii) Vaikuntham - 1 temple
